Our Story

The Struggle
Every year, countless talented students from low-income backgrounds miss out on life-changing college opportunities—not because they’re unqualified, but because they simply have little knowledge on how to access the right resources. Need-based scholarships, generous financial aid packages, and supportive programs often go unnoticed.
The Solution
This gap in awareness was a pivotal moment for Danny Ye, founder of Unity Scholars. Raised in a low-income household, Danny only discovered that his dream school offered generous financial aid after countless hours of independent research during his college application process. Many students—bright, motivated, and full of potential—likewise miss out on life-changing opportunities and institutions.
Isaac Jiang, a current student at Cornell University, shared similar challenges in finding affordable help and the right mentorship when applying to colleges. These shared experiences highlighted the need for a program with the resources expensive companies offered at a fraction of the cost. Unity Scholars was thus created to bridge the gap and provide mentorship and guidance to all who seek it.
